Vander Blue Reaches 4,000 Career Points

By Ryan Primeaux | April 24, 2017

One of the most dynamic players in D-League history, Vander Blue continued to climb the league’s scoring ranks in his third full season. On March 29 against Reno, the three-time All-Star passed Blake Ahearn for the third-most points in league history.

Blue now has 4,024 career points after his MVP 2016-17 season, placing him behind only Renaldo Major (5,058) and Ron Howard (4,425).

Blue was the league’s second-leading scorer this season (23.5 ppg) and would have a good shot at breaking the record if he were to play the entirety of next year. Blue has reached this point in only 171 career games, while Major and Howard played in 400 and 247, respectively, to hit their marks.
